Anna and her team have transformed our garden from a featureless grass square into a vibrant relaxing space that the whole family can enjoy through the year. Throughout the design process Anna took on board our requirements and tailored the garden to meet our needs and our budget. We have also taken advantage of the friendly and efficient garden care service which ensures the plants continue to look great throughout the year.
Before the redesign, I barely used the garden. The slope made it difficult to place furniture, and the large garage at the back dominated the space. I wanted a garden that felt natural, with different areas to enjoy, and planting that would support wildlife.
The design process was incredibly enjoyable and collaborative. I felt listened to throughout, and everything was clearly explained so I could make informed decisions. What was created is beyond anything I could have imagined — the finished garden is exactly as shown in the designs, but even better to experience in reality.
I particularly love the pergola and the stonework, as well as the variety in planting across the garden. I now spend far more time outside, pottering and sitting in the space, and caring for the garden feels enjoyable rather than a chore.
The ongoing support has also been invaluable, helping me understand how to look after the garden with confidence. I would absolutely recommend working with Anna and her team — you will benefit enormously from their expertise.
The work that Anna has done in our garden is nothing short of amazing. She has exceeded our wildest dreams in every capacity. We had some specific needs for the space, that it needed to be low maintenance and child friendly, but also that it should be somewhere that the children could go to reflect after a difficult couple of years. Anna took our initial conversations and came back with a design that not only met our needs perfectly, but also gave us elements we could not have imagined. Anna is friendly, efficient and professional, and she somehow manages to incorporate every comment and thought into her design. The final result is the most beautiful garden, which feels like an extension of our house into the small outdoor space we have, that is such a peaceful place to be.
Anna worked with us to transform our underused garden into an inviting all-season recreational space with real pizzazz. Her initial suggestions encouraged us to think adventurously about totally reinventing our outdoor seating, borders and paving. She has created a stunning garden where each week – including in the depths of winter – we have the excitement of newly emerging blooms, shapes and colours. Anna has ensured that the garden is manageable and relatively low maintenance, with spectacular yet resilient plants that bring us great joy.
She has helped us to develop new skills and to feel empowered as amateur gardeners. We are very comfortable about checking with Anna’s excellent environmental and ecological knowledge to ensure that our gardening is sustainable and supports wildlife. Anna has brought our back garden alive with her imaginative design and interpretation of our needs. From the initial consultation to putting in the final touches, she really has been in tune with how our family likes to use our outdoor space. Everything from the variety of plants to the positioning of play and relaxation spaces has been carefully considered. Anna has incorporated many clever little touches which make our garden that little bit special, such as planting with height to create interest and unobtrusive privacy from neighbours and ground coverage to help the garden to be low maintenance. There are plants to appeal to all senses, especially as our toddler loves to explore texture, smells, and even taste! And we have experienced a succession of blooms with beautiful little floral surprises popping up all the time. The quality of plants has been excellent, and Anna has patiently taught us how to care for the garden so that we get the best from it and can provide an inviting environment for bees, butterflies and insects too. The garden is now a real extension of our living space, is inclusive for all the family and we are delighted with the results of the hard work of Anna and her team.
Anna has created an absolutely beautiful front garden for us. It makes us so happy to come home and the first thing we see is the garden created so thoughtfully by Anna and her team. They worked with hard landscapers to clear and put in a new driveway, paths and bin store. The design and the plants are fantastic – she followed our brief and gave great suggestions about the materials such as the fences, paving, gravel and plants. We’ve had loads of compliments and people often stop and look at it admiringly. Anna is a very talented designer and we highly recommend working with her.
We are delighted by the beautiful planting that Anna did for us this year. Anna knows her plants so well and is very creative. She has transformed the area into a beautiful space with so much interest and structure. Many of the plants have flowered all summer and when some plants have finished flowering new flowers have appeared on others. I’m so delighted with our new green and white garden. Anna and her team have created exactly what I’d hoped for. The choice of planting, offering structure, beauty and interest is perfect for our contemporary garden. The quality of the plants that Anna sourced is fabulous and I’m very much looking forward to seeing all the hydrangeas in full bloom this summer. I’m so glad to be rid of the box hedge with its horrible caterpillars, and very happy with the alternative that they have planted. Anna completely listens to your needs and her designs reflect that. Our garden had to be safe for children, animals and still have some zen for the grown ups. Anna has achieved this and more. Her knowledge is second to none and it has been a pleasure working with her.
Although I have always loved plants and been interested in gardens, decades of a demanding job and busy life meant I did little gardening myself. After Anna and her team worked with us to redesign our garden I soon realised that my own horticultural expertise was quite limited.
As well as providing regular garden care visits to check on the plants’ wellbeing and nurture their progress, Anna also let me work alongside her, modelling the best ways to prune, weed, train, and generally care for plants. She is extremely easy to talk to and I soon found that as well as learning about garden plants I was gaining deeper insight into the potential environmental impact of gardening.
Thanks to Anna and her team’s support and tuition I feel confident and competent about looking after the garden in between their visits. This has made it so much more fun. I know I am going to enjoy it for many years to come. Thank you, Anna!
