Garden Design

The process of creating your new garden is very much a partnership between you and us. We will work together to understand your aspirations for the garden, your lifestyle, needs and tastes. We will then begin the design to make your new garden a reality. Working through the stages detailed below, we will design your perfect outdoor space, support you through the build and bring in our experienced team to plant and care for your new garden.

Stage 1: Initial consultation & site visit

Our garden design process begins with an in-person consultation and site visit. This is a really thorough process where we discuss how you wish to use your garden along with your tastes and hopes for the transformation, as well as getting a feel for the space. We will leave ready to prepare a detailed design brief and proposal for you.

Stage 2: Survey and concept design

A survey of the site is conducted from which we will produce a concept design to show you our vision for your new garden. This includes 2D plans and 3D visuals to give you a real sense of how the garden will look and feel. We will also create moodboards to showcase suggested materials, features and an indicative planting palette.

Stage 3: Detailed & planting design

Detailed site layout plans and construction drawings are prepared as well as a written scope and specification of works for landscapers to work from. We then create a beautiful planting scheme and produce plans to show you exactly where every plant will go and how many of each are needed. We include a moodboard showcasing all of the plants so you can see exactly what’s going into your garden.

Stage 4: Tender process & construction

A tender document is prepared and sent to trusted landscaping contractors. We have a number of contractors we regularly work with, or you can of course invite your own landscaper to provide a price too. Once your chosen landscaper is appointed, we can make regular site visits to ensure the garden is being built as intended.

Stage 5: Planting

We will source your new trees and plants from high quality and trusted nurseries. We will take delivery of the plants on site, and they will be set out by Anna and the team to ensure their perfect positioning. Planting will then be carried out by our experienced team who will ensure that your garden is left ready for you to enjoy.

Stage 6: Aftercare

Soon after completion we will return to check on the garden and make sure all of the plants are settling in well. We can also provide ongoing aftercare to ensure that your new space develops as it should and looks great all year round.
